No one has disputed his competence as an instructor. It may be worthwhile to look into his qualifications, fight record(if any), or the records of his students(if any) at some point. Until that happens, I'm willing to accept your assessment that Mr. Corvino is a great teacher. For many people, that is the only factor worth considering. It's evidently the only factor you find worth considering, which is fine. As an adult, it's your time and your dime and you can select your instructors based on any criteria you want.

The thing is, there are many folks, including most or all of the membership of Bullshido, who take a broader view and I would ask that you at least consider doing the same. After all, I don't imagine there's a shortage of muay thai instructors in your area, so instead of asking yourself, "Is Dan Corvino a good teacher or not?" you might instead ask yourself, "Given the choice between a good muay thai coach (or dentist, barber, mechanic, dry cleaner, etc.) who is a convicted sex offender and a good muay thai coach who is not a convicted sex offender, which should I choose?". You may wind up making the same decision. Then again, after viewing your situation from a different perspective, you may surprise yourself by making a different choice.

well, not anymore you don't. do you really fail to see the issue? you're a young, attractive female. you've posted a **** ton of pictures of yourself everywhere using one username, and a very distinctive one at that. some of those pictures would get me in trouble at my job. the internet is a haven for lonely losers and criminals, most of whom will find your information as easily as i did. and i looked for you only because i suspected you were dan the pedo man pretending to be someone else. so are you connecting the dots yet? there are 90,000 members on bullshido alone. i'll bet your other accounts start getting lots of hits. christ almighty, i should call your dad. if you were my daughter i'd smack you.

All I am saying is that as a muay thai instructor, I personally vouch for him. Take it as u will.
    *sigh*
the state of new jersey caught him with his pants down in the most literal sense and now thinks he should be supervised FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. his qualifications are irrelevant. i don't care if he's bruce fucking lee.

and not to be absolutely rude, but what the hell do you know about muay thai or how to teach it? big fucking deal, he's respectful. i'd treat you very respectfully, too, while you punched a punching bag in skimpy clothes in my basement, and paid me to watch you do this, as well. yes, yes, YES. and later, after you left, i'd replay that video recording over and over and over...

you're obviously a nice person. i don't want to tell you to shut the **** up. find yourself a real gym. you'll do better in a group environment anyway, sparring against lots of other people of varying skills and size.

*sigh* Ok well, Ive said all I really need to say on the topic...but yes u were right, what I meant to say was as an instructor in general not the actual subjectmatter of muay thai because I dont know that much about it.

as for the online stuff... Im not really trying to hijack this thread with long replies about myself, but I really dont feel like my security is threatened, but who knows, maybe it will catch up with me one day...

here's site with a bunch of clubs:

    http://www.njmmatoday.com/mma-gyms-in-nj

since you say i don't really know where you live, i will assume you live not far from trenton, since danny does likewise. so go down to cherry hill to the daddis fight club. it's on the link. brad daddis is a highly-respected and highly-skilled fighter, and a very good teacher. i've been to his place, and i train now with people, including one professional fighter, who used to train with him and respect him greatly.

dan charges $50 an hour according to his website. you'll pay $100-150 a month or so at a good gym for anywhere from 3x per week to unlimited training. if for no other reason, look around at gyms to save yourself some money and get in more training. good luck, and delete any mention of your twin turbo username from your facebook page. it'll remove an easy link to your real name.
