I haven't been training the past few months but I may be able to make it.
I'm happy to be a punching bag.

It's getting near the end of October, any updates on this?? I'm still keen as long as it's a weekend.

    Stagnated a bit, didn't it?

I'd be keen to set a date, then work from there.

Weekends are a bit difficult for me, but summer is coming up, so I've got time off.

We could do late December (20/27th) depending on what people think, I know I'm not going anywhere - but cannot speak for anyone else.

If someone's club or instructor is agreeable, it almost might worth posting details and try for some crosstraining with each other, since getting enough guys together for a proper throwdown seems to be nigh impossible.

I may (emphasis on may) be able to host this in conjunction with a free BJJ seminar from my instructor, although I doubt he'd want to stick around for further festivities and throwdown madness. I'd have to have a few chats to my business partner and my instructor as to whether this could be done.

    ...

    Sounds good.

It can be hard trying to get a good venue, I'm new to Melbourne but back in Perth we used to have a fair bit of luck with the Uni's. If you can find a Uni gym that has a mat area, we may be able to book it out.

Other good places are PCYC's, they usually have a padded area that we can sweet talk the owners into borrowing while they're not using it. I'm pretty sure you can rent PCYC area's as "events".

    Which club/instructor?

I can probably find us a space at Melbourne Uni, but there aren't mats to use there.
