Belfort has looked awesome as of late, but Franklin is no Terry Martin. I'm thinking he'll win, but I don't really want to see either of them lose at the moment.

Vitor is obviously a top middleweight, as proven by his KO of Matt Lindland, a feat duplicated only by David Terrel and Matt Lindland.

vitors looked good against martin and lindland. he seems happy to use his hands again instead of simply laying on his opponents.

I hope the Vitor everybody expects shows up.
Win or lose, Franklin needs a good fight right now.

    Who's your pick?

I think you're prob spot on with your prediction mate, I was thinking something like what you are. I can't wait to see Vitor and which V comes into the cage...the lion or the lamb. Rich is no joke also, he's one hell of a fighter. ........man can't wait til the fights now, I live down south so I never get to see many of the ufcs live.......really lookin forward to this fight though. Vitor of old was so fun to watch, his hand speed imo was as quiick or quicker than anyone who's stepped in the cage..imo. ...remember the Vandy vs Vitor fight in the ufc, oh snap....he's destroyed WS, and I'm a huge Wandy fan......

I expect to see Franklin control this fight and win by Decision or a late TKO. Vitor looks good at 185, but I think Rich is too much for him.

    - Tatame.com recently spoke with Vitor Belfort about his return to the UFC, and possible match with Anderson Silva. Here is what he has to say…

I have to go with Franklin on this one. I think he is an underrated fighter. Despite his close loss to Henderson (even though I thought he won) he is the best at 185 besides Anderson. He should out strike Vitor to a decision.

Belfort's a way better boxer and I don't see Franklin controlling him in the clinch much (although that could be Vitor's downfall). Unless Franklin can slow the fight down and grind out a decision, I see no way for him to win.

    Belfort by TKO.

I don't agree that Rich Franklin is an underrated fighter. I think most UFC fans understand and respect his ability, and this is reflected in this thread where even people who like Belfort are admitting that Franklin has an edge. Personally, I think Franklin is super talented, but not always that exciting to watch.
