    "BJ"

"Hey what are you doing this weekend?"
"Oh I'm getting together with a couple guys at the gym and we're going to practice our BJ."

"I just got a gold medal in a BJ tournament!"

"Yeah that one jacked guy with the tats is AWESOME, last night during BJ he mounted me and there was nothing I could do."

No way we are shortening it to Judo.

They did use an open guard and that is where I learned the triangle , kiamara , key lock, americana but some of the names are changed. There was no shoots but when I tried their grip on my gi didn't allow it any ways.
Lived in Japan for 3 years and learned the "kiamara" yeah.. Nice..

You are aware those are all the exact same move and have the exact same (one) name in Judo, right?

I wonder what J-kid is doing these days? I wonder if he ever learned about double-negatives, this thread title fucking pisses me off.

Well noticed. The answer to the question is that BJJ is, in fact, not called JJJ, so the OP doesn't need to further trouble his brain cell.

it's not so much the necro of a thread from 2002, what's really bad is that it's a fucking j-kid thread.

Well their was a language barrier so I never really learned the names. I lived on a military base so I didn't have to learn the language.

You suck then. I lived on base too and still learned the language. I find it baffling that pple can live overseas and not learn the language and culture of their host country.
