I'm sorry to say it, Mr. Tripp, but you should start teaching mystical chi martial arts, for combatting demons and evil with no emphasis on training or physical conditioning, and utterly ineffective techniques. Reverse psychology them until it's a large group, and then BAM, spring Judo on their lazy asses.

If this post is sincere and not mocking the Craigslist ads, I have to agree with War Wheel. I would guess you just need to get your name out and get a little flashy marketing to draw people in. Just get them in the door, so to speak, and it should be easy to show them why they should become regular students.
Do you have any kind of online presence? Getting yourself to show up near the top of Google's search results for Judo in your area would help. I know several dojo's here also get listed in the local parks and recreation guide.
I do know that if I lived anywhere near you I would happily pay for regular beatings. I think more than a few posters here would probably do the same. -

Mark -- Geography may be a large part of your problem. You're in one of the most screwed up parts of the most disfunctional state in the US.
You're a showbiz guy. You could say everything the combat hapkido guy does, and more, and be 100% honest. (Side note: my mom's friend is something like a 3rd degree BB in "combat hapkido." It sucks).
But, frankly, kids seem to be the most effective way to make money from the martial arts. Lots and lots of kids. And birthday parties, and blackbelt clubs, and all the McDojo ****. Or flavor of the month stuff that people charge an arm and a leg for, like BJJ/MMA. Judo sells itself too cheap. -
