    Dana on Strikeforce signing Fedor:

“He’ll put them out of business,” White said. “They have no money. These guys have no money and they have no distribution. Four f---king people watch Showtime.”
Guess all that lovey-dovey-huggy Cung Le love the UFC was throwing to Strikeforce is gone, eh?

Scott Coker can play the victim and make Dana look like an angry blowhard. The real war would be when the UFC starts buying out fighters and counter programming.

True, but I'm certain that's what's coming next, either in the fall or winter shows.

Incidentally, and hypothetically, how ridiculous would it be if both Fedor and Brock clear out their respective divisions, go on undefeated streaks and are then still unable to face each other, leading to Brock Lesnar trying to worm out of his UFC contract to fight Fedor?

It didn't work for Randy, I doubt it will work for BLABM. Besides, I think that BLABM is going to be content to maul whoever the UFC puts in front of him for the next several years and won't give a **** about an aging Fedor.

The aging Fedor that's ten months older than Brock, or a different one?

    Fedor's probably.
The number of injuries and drug related problems associated with pro-wrestling are more than comparable to MMA. Fedor's biggest problem is probably going to be arthritic hands since he keeps breaking them.

Counter-programing will only work if Strikeforce foolishly goes the ppv route. The UFC would not be able to get much effect counter-programming a CBS card.

    Pretty much this.

PPV is the UFC's bread and butter; if Strikeforce stays on CBS and Showtime they're not really encroaching on the UFC's business. Dana will make some noise like he already has, but he's not going to go after Strikeforce aggressively unless they start trying to push into the PPV market.

When you agree with me it makes me feel doubly right.
