    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Is Fedor running scared from the UFC and Brock Lesnar?

I'm fed up with Dana white bending over backwards to get Fedor to fight in the UFC and after looking at the lastest contract offer which is apparently $5m a fight over 6 fights, then I can only assue that Fedor is scared of actually losing now. I think the Rickson Gracie syndrome has hit him which means he wants to retire unbeaten. Rickson ducked Sakuraba and Fedor is ducking Brock.
I say we should shame Fedor into accepthing this contract and giving us all the fights we want to see.

You can assume whatever you want, but I suspect that you don't have the ability to read Fedor's mind.

Also, mass shaming is not usually the basis for a fighter's decisions about his career.

30 mil? that should be enough money to lose 6 times to anybody

i'll bet its the M-1 co-promotion thing holding things up.

It's supposedly $5million a fight for six fights, the right to display the M-1 brand on anything he brings into the ring, and M-1 themselves get a direct cut of the PPV.

That sounds retardedly generous, but I'm not going to believe anyone's word until Fedor actually touches gloves with a fighter in the octagon.

    - Fedor was free to wear as many M-1 logoed items as he wished.

    - The UFC also relented on allowing Fedor to compete in combat sambo.

Apparently, for good or bad, M-1 refuses to sign a deal unless the UFC agrees to co-promote.

    What? The? ****?!?!?!?!?!?!

What's your basis of turning that down? Either you don't want to fight anymore, or you are holding out for... for... for what? MORE MONEY!?!?! What the **** man. This is bullshit.

Lol at everyone jumping all over Fedor over this 'anonymous leak'. I wonder which bald Tourettes victim stands to gain from Fedor being seen as unreasonable...

I don't think he's holding out for more money personally, I think it's his groupies and managers. I think they're trying to milk this to get a number of concessions for M-1.

I don't really have a lot of sympathy for either. For one, not many other big name promotions could afford Fedor and find worthy fights for him, so he could be potentially shooting himself in the foot. On the other hand, I think Zuffa is getting to be way too big for it's own good and needs some more real competition like Pride/Dream and Affliction. What they're pushing for would put M-1 on a more equal footing with Zuffa. Having one big, dominating organization is very bad for both fighters and MMA in general, in my view.

If anything because of that I'm going to lean more towards Fedor's camp.

It's just silly. The only reason fedor should be pushing for co-promotion is to secure his future once he's done fighting (so he can have a career as a promoter)....doesn't the 30 million dollar fucking payday kind of offset the need for this?

Seriously, strikeforce is offering ONE TENTH of that payrate. Just how much does fedor think he's going to get out of co-promotion?
