Zhong Luo and Dragon House MMA
I'm looking into martial arts in the San Francisco area for a friend. He wants traditional arts that fight hard. I recommended some CMA stuff that I've seen here (shuai jiao with san da for instance), and Serge's club. He found this site and is really pumped about it: http://dragonhousemma.com/ I'm intrigued but want to be sure.
They run Pankration events, do Bak Mei and Lung Ying, and have professional MMA fighters. The teacher's name is Zhong Luo. Not too much on the net about him that's definitive:
Anybody know the guy? He looks solid, I just wanted to check. The one thing that annoyed me was the lack of lineage and specifics on where his grappling comes from, other than Mongolian wrestling. What a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable. -Xenophon's Socrates

Yes, but I had a student go check the school so, I knew what thread to search.
As you can see, it still took me awhile to find.

It looks like an interesting school. Kind of old-schoolish in that it does conditioning, competitive events, and forms.
Is it a trick of California law that makes Pankration so popular out there? These guys and Cartmell's school seem to do a lot of it.What a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable. -Xenophon's Socrates

You know, that is what I have wondered. I also wonder if it is the ruleset vs MMA.

Holy ****, not wanting to turn this into a Lulz-fest or anything, but one of the fighters listed on the Dragon House site is Milton Wallace.
Heavyweight at the bottom.

Oh, I noticed that. Maybe he's actually getting some decent training now.
