    I've never heard of jump kicks getting extra points. Best of my knowledge kicking to the back has always been against rules in WTF events. Since most Hogu do not protect that area I don't think they could allow scoring to back.

    That is leg checking right? That's what we did, block valid attempts with a knee or lower leg.

    When I knee checked, I did it with a forward drive, to break structure. I'd then clinch (TKD arms out manhug chest bump clinch), blast the hogu with punches, and follow up with an sbk or hook kick. Sometimes I could get away with it, some refs wouldn't allow it.

    As far as kickchecking, I'm referring to stop kicks & cut kicks. For example, if someone was throughing a rear leg round, jamming them in the thigh with a push kick. Or on the step in, checking the lead leg with a side kick & then going into an sbk.

    I would say clinching the arms is what got you in hot water.
