Just got a link to this page on bloodyelbow: http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2009/7/13...egend-ice-cold
From the article:
After nearly a four-year hiatus, Igor "Ice Cold" Vovchanchyn, a pioneer and legend of the sport, has decided to step back into the ring. Fighting Mixed Combative has announced that Igor will be featured in the promotion's second event in September (their first event is scheduled for Aug. 15th.) The card is also rumored to showcase the much anticipated debut of Blagio "Fedor Killer" Alexandre Ivanov against the brother of the man whom he defeated in Combat Sambo, Aleksander Emelianenko.
While there has yet to be any word on who Igor's opponent will be for the September card, one cannot help but anticipate the return of a legend and hope that he has recovered from the injuries that have plagued him in the past.
I cannot WAIT to see this. I don't care what weight class or who the opponent is, I'm just excited to see Igor back in action.

This is awesome news, although when was his last good performance? Knocking out Takahashi at one of the later PRIDEs back like in '04/'05?

I'm ignoring the 2-fight losing streak and the 4 year layoff. It's Igor, and I will be super excited to see what happens.
