Well, todays training was cool! You know, we just practice walking with the walking stick (if we can call this way the combat moves) but, hell thats good. Well the movements are basically the same as the renessaince fencing (wow...surprise!).

Uh, are you training la canne de combat, or some walking stick stuff? Because la canne de combat is quite far from renaissance fencing, it's biomechanics are really different. The old methods, like Leboucher are more like sword fencing. Can you post some video about how you train?

If someone were to begin to study La Canne, or Bartitsu, how/where would someone go about getting a cane/stick suitable for Vigny style training?

You can go in different direction. For la canne de combat you can use a light stick with a length of 97 cm and weight less than 150 gram. For la canne, the old style, I prefer a stronger stick.
