He’s a huge guy, showed himself very aggressive and strong, who knows if one day we can fight… I respect him as a fighter, he’s very strong, but I’m professional and I’d like to test myself.

if this were to happen, i think Couture should go against someone like Evans first, and should he win, then try Machida.

or like someone else mentioned, just have him cut to 205, and have him and Chuck slug it out one last time, and both retire.

I just want Randy to retire already. I don't want him to go down like Chuck. That was sad.

I think in his prime randy could take Machida, his styles matches up nicely, but not now.

He's certainly not deserving of a title shot, but couldn't they have a non-title fight?

I'd certainly be interested in seeing it, but as it's stated above, while he may have had what it took in his prime, it's too late now.

One last victory over chuck lidell would be great though.

Can anyone explain to me why people are still interested in fighters like Couture, Big Nog, Wanderlei, Liddell???

Nog is 2 years older than machida, that's hardly too old to still be competitive. And aside from his loss to Mir, he's off the back of 3 consecutive wins. (then one loss, and 4 consecutive wins). People seem to forget about people's victories pretty damn quickly when a single loss comes along.

And couture only just lost the heavyweight title ONE fight ago to brock lesnar, and he was pretty successfully outwrestling him in inches despite brock's size and strength advantage.

Still interested in chuck liddell/Wanderlei Silva? I guess they're living off his past glory, or refusing to accept reality.

But they still manage to scrape up enough victories to stay around.

Nog's all of 33 years old.

sure, he looks like he fought in the original Pankration events, but he still has a few years left in him. hell, 31-5 is a great record, specially when you figure 2 out of 5 losses were to Fedor, and one to Barnett, which he soon avenged.

he does look old as ****. but indeed, just 33. Fedor is 32. Wanderlei, again, also 33.

in comparison, Randy is 46. Chuck is 39.

i think out of the bunch, Wandy is doing the worst. he's won 1 match since 2006.

Wandy however, keeps on being entertaining in all his matches, so they'll keep on feeding him to the lions, instead of letting him knock around Chris Leben and Drew mcfedries.

And brian stann and houston alexander.
