    Hey, long-time lurker here.

    I'm gonna be about two hours away from Santa Barbara when I move to college in August. I've been going to a school that focuses on striking mostly, but they've changed drastically over the two years off-and-on I've gone there, and as a result, I don't have too much sparring experience. Would it be a bad idea for me to go, or do you think it'd be possible to find someone around my level?

    There are all levels of people at these things. You should go, it really helps you learn to think on your feet and work with unknown sparring partners.
