Whats the consensus about a possible fight between silva and jones jr? Do you think Jones Jr. is too far past his prime to contend with a striking machine like silva? Or will they dance around eachother punches for infinite?

AFAIK Silva had two pro boxing matches against journeymen fighters a few years ago and really did not impress. Not to say his stand up isn't great, but in a straight boxing match I really don't think he has the skills to take on your average pro boxer, let alone RJJ.

Boxrec.com has him at two fights, losing his first to journeyman Ozmair Luiz and winning his second to Julio Cesar, whom has no professional fights besides Anderson.

Wow, you can really see the same style in that fight as he has been using lately in MMA. Same head movement. Same picking apart guys from the outside. Same moving in when he gets them rocked.
