    dislocated shoulder?

    hi all

    im a newb to this forum.........

    yesterday while sparring during bjj practice i popped/dislocated my shoulder

    the guy was tryin to do an arm bar so i flipped him while popping my shoulder out and back instantly

    surprisingly there was no pain........

    went to doc did x rays he said im fine. gave me a sling and said

    i can go back in 2 weeks:5ziplip::5ziplip::5ziplip:

    is this too good to be true?

    That sounds more like a subluxation than a dislocation. It's definitely not a good thing, as it's a precusor to a dislocation.

    I got them all the time in wrestling, then one day I got a full on dislocation. Got surgery, got 4 more dislocations afterwards. That's partially what made me give up combat sports.

    Did a similar thing playing rugby 25 plus years ago, doc told me it had popped out and back in. Again like you with no pain just some restricted movement, 2 weeks in sling and fine with no problem since then.
