Cung Le hasn't, Frank Shamrock did pre-Zuffa, in the 20s.

Elvis Sinosic was in charge of the ring where I competed in my first BJJ tournament. He looks tall-ish on TV, in real life he is a monster.

Of course I've met my very own son....

Anyway, if we're going to include non UFC mma fighters then I've also met Cung Le, him and I were bracketed together in a full contact tournament in Vegas 1997.

Well, I'm hoping to do some BJJ training at Legends when I move to LA, so hopefully I'll meet some cats there at some point while I'm working on my blue belt.

I'm also planning to do some training with one of Royce's students, so maybe I'll get a chance to meet -- or even roll with! -- Royce...

But does meeting Royce mean anything any longer?

Yeah, it means your bubble's about to burst

"Mean" anything? That's an odd way to put it. Anytime you roll with a good instructor who exceeds your ability, it "means" something if you are educated by the experience. Plus, sitting around and listening to his "behind the scenes" stories is quite entertaining.

As for "bubble bursting," I guess if you are an adolescent fan boy with the wrong mat-attitude....

Sadly I didn't get any Mat time at all with Royce. It was purely a meet and greet and he wasn't all that friendly.
