On a serious note.... I just bought a Mosin drenched in cosmaline nasty stuff that. I wrapped my bolt in newspaper and left it in the 5280 sun on a 90 degree day. It really seemed to get ride of a bunch of the nastieness. Try this; Take the magazine wrap them in newsprint, put them and the newsprint in a ziplock bag then set them out in the Vegas heat..... Viola you will clean off 80% or so. Also Ronin I am thinking of taking my Nephew to Vegas for his 21st in November. Interested in a meet up?

From what I've heard, the Tokarevs actually are less prone to blowing up in your face than the comparable 7.62 CZs as long as you don't use subpar ammo.

I tend to be pretty busy all the time with working out, working full time, etc., but I think it'd be worth a shot to go out for a beer or something if we can. Why don't you PM me closer to the date?

Any thought about going to an automotive garage and useing the parts cleaner? It is basically a sink on a barrel of solvent. The stream from the hose plus the solvent should clean out the inside of the magazines.

I said that, passing on word from my father. My father's warning was based on the claim that Norinco Tokarevs are made from railroad track, based on the properties of the metal used to make railroad track, not any incidents with assembled weapons.

Anything made of Railway track is AWESOME.
I'm quite sure it'd have been at least normalised anyway, rendering it non-brittle.

Just to say again, if something's been made out of railway track ... BUY IT! Yeay!

Fill them with gasoline and microwave them. This is sure to solve your problems.
