Too much butt in the way for the tai otoshi.

Not low enough for the seoi.

The timing for the kata guruma is off. Try getting a bit lower, pull him onto your shoulders, lift with the legs and direct with your arms. Should be one smooth action.

On all sweeps point your toe, don't reap with the heel.

Your instep needs to be inside his leg for the hani goshi.

Don't pike on your koshi waza, keep your back strait until the kake.

O uchi should hit a bit higher on the leg.

You will find both Hiza guruma and sasae tsurikomi aski are easier for you both if you do them with your right leg, right lapel pull.

Rather than do okuri ashi like the kata, which is useless in randori; using a strong right lapel pull, move uke in a clockwise circle. His left leg willplant, his right leg will come up, then attack it the same way.

Ashi guruma needs to hit below the knee.

Just pull him to your chest for Uchi mata.

Get further under him (between his legs) for the tomoe

    The rest looks fine.

Thanks those were pretty much my thoughts.

I just got out the tape and book and did all of them cold.

Some of the taiotoshis were seoiotoshis if that matters. The first 2 are tai and later on is the seoi.

For Seoi otoshi your leg goes to the rear not to the side.

    got it thanks

I am/was a drop seoinage style player so uchimata has always been a hard throw for me to do. I can never seem to get it just right. I will try the chest to chest then turn method I have seen Parnel Legross do it and went to a seminar with him but at the time I was not interested in uchimata.

Dammit always come up with something to add.

I have been working on ashi waza for the past few months and hope that it showed up.

Yoko Wakare wasn't Yoko Wakare. It was more a form of hikkomi gaeshi.

Ashi Waza did look best of all.

Take a look at the Kodokan Judo Nage Waza video, it's a good reference for standard throws. Also, I use my copy of Kodokan Judo-Throwing Techniques, by T. Daigo.

Good to see you are still doing Judo!

Coach Tripp owns on the specifics (no surprise) which is why we love him here! but I'd add that your hips look really stiff. This comes from using your hips so much in throwing that you start to lose the depth in your standing squat. I know this first-hand...

There are a couple of times that your back-step looks just superb: a nice sweeping, quick-arc. I wonder if you worked on that more that it might help you with your tai-otoshi, if you get more rotation into your windup then you might find your ass is no longer in the way. It might come from muscling the throws too much, your body is too loaded as you turn-in to throw.

I learned alot from just watching Katanishi (posted here for any other lurkers):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJSq9fF5Yuo

he couldn't move so fluidly if his hips were stiff/locked up and notice how deeply he's bent his lead leg
