    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Champion of Champions II (Buakaw, JWP, Yod, Carnage, Spong, Anuwat

Anyone else watch this? Amazing line-up. Results were:

    1. Mosab Amrani vs Andrei Kubelin - Kubelin
    2. Buakaw vs JWP - Buakaw
    3. Clifton Brown vs Kaoklai Kennorasing - Brown
    4. Nathan 'Carnage' Corbett vs Tyrong Spong - No Contest
    5. Eugene 'Boom Boom' Ekkelboom vs Rayen Simson - Ekkelboom
    6. Anuwat vs Liam Harrison - Anuwat
    7. Yodsaenklai vs Cosmo Alexandre - Yodsaenklai
    8. Angie Parr vs Julie Kitchen - Kitchen
    9. Marco Pique vs Sean Wright - Pique
    10. Patrice Quarteron vs Paul Slowinski - Slowinski

Carnage/Spong was probably the most exciting bout, with Spong dominating at the start, then Carnage coming back to drop him. Spong was all jelly legs, and the ref waved his hands to call the fight over, but he had his back to Carnage, who didn't see or hear the call, and jumped back on Spong as soon as the ref took a step back. Watching the replay, it really does appear that Corbett didn't see the ref wave his hands, but nevertheless, the officials called it a No Contest due to his attack after the fight had been stopped.

Regardless, I'm sure Spong would acknowledge that Corbett won the fight fair and square.

JWP wasn't looking his best - really got owned in the grapple, and struggled especially in the third round. He rallied in the later rounds, but it was a fairly decisive win to Buakaw.

Angie Parr also got totally owned by Julie Kitchen. Ring rust, maybe, but ouch, I think she was lucky not to get KOd.

Cosmo gave the most disappointing performance of the night. He looked petrified and just moved back and cowered for almost the whole fight. I get that it's intimidating fighting Yod (although he had a lot of reach and height over him), but he has fought much much better before and it was pretty terrible.

Oh, it was cable PPV here. It was also available as PPV online, though, so I bet clips show up on YouTube soon.

there are videos posted of the events but they take foooooreeeeeeeeeevverrrrrrrrrrr to buffer so I haven't watched them yet except for the first minute or so of the Julie/Angie fight.

Julie vs Angie went down pretty much exactly how I'd expected. Kitchen has all the advantages: height/reach, fight activity, physical conditioning, training... and she's just plain more polished of a fighter. I have respect for Angie Parr since she's done a lot in the sport and fought the best out there, though I had no questions about the outcome of this one.

Oh I knew Julie would win for sure, but I'd expected a bit of a better showing from Angie.

G-Off: All fight were FTR, except for Spong/Carnage, which was Mod Thai.
