Is Michael Perry full of crap?

Ok, my name is Alex, i'm from stl, mo. my instructor is Raymond R. Amanat (among other things, 3rd degree black belt, certified CDT Tactical Master Instructor and head coach of Team Respect national karate team), who owns the Respect Center: Fitness and Fighting Arts Academy. And you can ask everyone of my fellow students and my instructors, they will all tell you the same thing, that this guy knows his stuff.
I don't mean to be rude, but why don't each one of you people who haven't trained with him go out and spar with him, see if that changes your opinion, he taught me a lot. i'll be straight with you, i am NOT a black belt yet, but that doesn't change the fact that when he was at my school he was an excellent teacher, and the only problem we had was the fact that he charged a lot.
That was my schools experience with him, i respect all of your opinions, but we all believe in him.
Im going to say this for my school and all of its students, because some of you might feel the need to make US look bad to further your attack on mike: we are not one of those third rate schools that lulls people into false confidence, we teach how to survive on the streets, and that is what jkd was meant for, giving you steps toward your OWN style to use to protect your family and your life.

Even Greg Alland, his teacher doesnt have anything to do with the guy
Theres a lot of mentally disturbed individuals
in the martial arts world that suffer from Delusions like that guy.

Really? The people who pay him to teach MA think that he can teach MA? And the people he employs don't bad-mouth him in public? Well, I guess that's the end of the investigation. Case closed folks.

Out of curiousity, how are you related to Perry? Ex-student? Student of Alland? Just curious.

A student at a martial arts school that Greg Alland and Mike Perry were both a part of for a while this is in Virginia Beach. Greg Alland is a nice guy and knows his stuff. Greg was his instructor for many years. Mike Perry talks a lot but isn't much out of the ordinary in skill. somehow he talks himself into having seminars al over though. so give him credit for that. but his claims as a super master of sorts is ridiculous!

^ Thanks for the info. I'm truely amazed at how easy it is for some people to get paid to give seminars. If I ran a martial arts school, I'd do some basic resume checking if I wanted to pay someone to instruct at my school.
