This is a longshot, but can anyone recommend a good taiji instructor in the san francisco bay area that regularly teaches freestyle sparring as well as push hands and scatter hands and all the other good stuff. Chenstyle would be my pref, but anything will do.
As you all know, there are alot of "tai chi sleepwalking" classes out there, I just moved and I'm having a hard time finding a real taiji boxing coach/class/sifu/laoshi whatever.
Im new to the forum-hope this post is in the right place.

Welcome. I recommend making an intro post in Newbietown also. Unfortunately I can't help you with your search. :)
I've never heard of scatter hands--do you have more detail on that?
Where'd you move from?

Good suggestion! They also train groundfighting a couple of times a month, and, as part of the Wong Jack Man lineage, you will actually have a dog in the fight when it comes to discussions of "Was Bruce Lee cool, or what?!??!"

Thank you Jack Rusher, and everybody else, too.
I moved from Arizona, originally Chicago. Took time out from the CMAs after moving to phoenix. Visited a supposed internal arts master who couldnt stay on his feet with me at the first lesson. Got frustrated and tried out some other arts for the experience. Dennis Conatser (Ed Parker kenpo) was my favorite coach, but college took over. Now that I'm in the bay area, I thought I might have a better chance with the Taiji again. I'll check out EBM for sure, thanks.
