I'll be there. My wife might come, my brother and some people from my club may come as well. No idea yet.

What kind of Stick training to you guys have? Or is it going to be the stick equivelant of crappling?

He has a 3 section staff, I will have a shinai.

I have no formal training with weaponry, but I believe mcclaw did wushu.

I had a friend who did kendo and iaido. He showed me some stuff, and we sparred quite a bit.

So yeah, stick equivalent of crappling.

I'm tired of four hundred plus detroit throwdown threads that get NOTHING done. So lets keep posting in this thread to people who are confirming their attendance, or explaining why they cannot attend.

What might be a problem has just come up. My fiancee stuck our Florida trip which was going to be "sometime in the middle of July" over the weekend of the 18th. Also, Mr. Tripp can't make it. On top of that, the weekend before is UFC 100 and many of us will be BBQing at my parent's place and then watching the fights at BW's.

So, how about we combine all of this for Saturday the 11th? We can have our Throwdown, then BBQ (as long as I'm not dead), then go watch the fights. All in one day.

I'm hoping this won't suck because I feel like a douche :/
