Moving forward is ok as long as you have a good plumm. Do you guys not typically tie up while sparring? or just for this workout you didn't do any clinch?

for this we were just boxing/kicking. ill get some clips of our clinching on saturday, we didnt do any last night. and yeah one of the reasons i move forwards all the time is to get into clinch range, that is definitely my strongest area.

Me too that's why I mentioned it. Even if we weren't training plumm I typically tie people up anyway then immediately let go. It is a lot more realistic for my fighting style. If your style is to enter the clinch whenever you can your should consider doing that. Tell your training partners and they shouldn't really mind. Don't throw knees or anything just punch in and tie up then punch out.

I typically do the whole forward fighter thing, though I try to make it a habit not to walk directly in front of my opponent and stay there or else getting punched in the face often happens. When clinching I try to get my head off to the side some way or other or try and get them to turn their head while defending something that I've thrown so I don't just walk right into punch on the way in. I had some early fight from Samkor back when he was still a teenager where his strategy was to just come forward and try to clinch and the other fighter totally smashed him with repeated uppercuts and eventually got the KO.

Is the backgrpund music always that "cool"? Or does it just make you guys more aggressive?

Your combinations and reactions (albeit slow speed sparring) really show the training and skills you've put in.
