Many things we do naturally become difficult only when we try to make them intellectual subjects. It is possible to know so much about a subject that you become totally ignorant.

No no. It's very exciting. Someone earlier said 'darn', and well, it went south from there. We're still processing the ban list.

I wasn't comparing Bullshido to McDonalds. My point was that just because a large number of people do something doesn't make it an inherently sound choice.

In fact, I love this site, and have yet to see another board with such a high average rate of quality content.

Quibbling about the conversational vibe aside, the technical knowledge of the posters and the general standard of accountability is flat out unmatched. Sure, there are definitely times when people get carried away in hostility and it clouds an otherwise decent discussion, but all in all the only people who seem to have beef with the often confrontational atmosphere are people who stand to be undermined by it because they can't sensibly defend their flaccid viewpoints, and would rather remain deeply in denial than to be an adult and acknowledge their own errors.

No wonder photographers lately are viewed as perverts, it is so easy to buy a big camera and say I will turn you into a star but you have to show some titties...
Sometimes you lose and sometimes the other guy wins.

At this point I don't owe anybody an explenation.

ya know, you can pick up an old school Hasselblad for $800 these days. That's freaking nuts! Then get a good scanner for the negatives, I think the top of the line Canon is the one the camera pimps are using around here.

Then a tripod and some lights and **** then bring on the chicks!

Well, a HaBla is nice but the film runs so much where ever I look, and the lenses are usually still expensive.
For the scanner, yeah there are some really nice ones out there but they will ruin you.

If I ever get around to stay at a place for more than a few months, I will invest in some nice light equipment, Hensel would be nice, a porty, beauty dish, sunbounces in different colours. Then get some nice drop backs, several tripods to set this all up on and find a place to set up a studio...

The more I shoot, the more evident it gets that I need less equipment but the stuff I want is too expensive or not available. Wanted to surprise myself with a 135/2L but they were out of stock on the fucking entire east coast, what is wrong people?! And in Brazil the stuff is fucking 3 times the price?! :bs::new_cussi

If I could, I would give back all of my equip, get a 1DsII a keep my 24-70/2.8 add a 35/1.4 and 135/2 and the rest I would spend on Light equpiment...The new 7D looks great too but well...

Anyway, I should start shooting naked wimenz... I mean this makes me a serious photographer right?
