I am famous!!!!! Lol, anyway........for some clarification........our belt system in MSK for hapkido and tae kwon do is as follows: White, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown, Red, and Black. Then the various dan grades. So I have been in the Martial Arts for a long time in some fashion. Dad has been in it since 73 and he thinks it a badge of honor only being a sixth dan. He says "I am rank retarded and that is ok." He told me the following, "I would rather be underrated than overrated." So I look at it like this. If a lot of people have high ranks then good for them. I am happy with a first dan and a second dan. I know what I have done and I am only intending to go to 3rd dan in Judo anyway. I only want to go up so my students can.

In the end those are the folks I care about anyway, the students. I have been approved for 3rd dan in judo but won't receive certification until December. I am writing some stuff on the subject of Judo. Oh, I am a strong believer in Newaza, it is my favorite part of Judo. Coming from a wrestler background it would make sense, would it not. Anyway, that is why the BJJ certs. Coming from the military it was big to have accomplishment validated. So by the coach certs. and the dan rankings I feel I have done that.

I'm sorry. What is your BJJ (belt) rank again? Your Level 1 Instructor cert is from Torrance Academy? When did you receive this, its not dated? I'm a little confused as to why this document would be signed by Carlson.

OK, this is not MABS and I am not making an accusation, but I would appreciate clarification from Mr. Morton on a few issues, I am going to restrict my comments to this document for the time being:

Several things strike me as odd about this image from the get go. The area where the name is written in has tell-tale signs of Photoshopping. The text is perfectly in focus, for one -- And there are slight irregularities in the background noise/texture around the name, as well as an odd box-like distortion around Carlson's signature.

In addition to the odd features of this image, there is the puzzling presence of Clarlson's name and signature on a Torrance Academy document. I phoned the academy and asked them if they ever, at any time in the past, issued any kind of certification with Carlson's name on it. As you can imagine (given the family feud), this was met with an immediate "Never!"

Please explain.

edit: back in 1998 until 01 i was working at a digital database of a museum digitalising old crap and rstoring old photos.
im no expert but ive been fucking around long enough to rcognise one when i see one.

Are there possible explanations that make sense for this info about the cert?

Let me ask since I am a photoshop dunce.... I really have no clue about the technical aspects of how to tell when something has been photoshopped so I am probably a good person to ask:

1) Obviously the two areas where something would be added to the cert are the two names, and a date box sometimes ( I didn't see one on this). Would that cause this distortion? I.e. I take a blank cert and sign it and put your name upon it?

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.
