So Fedor's most momentous post-pride accomplishments have now been surpassed by Brett Rogers and Ray Mercer.

you are seeing this the wrong way, AFTER Fedor got done with those two, they have never been able to take a punch again. Because Fedya punches you in the soul.

You know how sometimes you want something embarrassing to happen to somebody...but when you actually see it you kind of feel ashamed for wanting it to happen?

That's kind of how I feel now.

Haha, my sentiments exactly. I also wonder if this will further fuel the fire for those who do not view tMMA fighters as true athlethes, as in, "See!? Even an old washed up boxer can KO a top ten MMA heavyweight." Sylvia was still considered top ten right?

    Tim has always been overrated.

Now he's been beaten by a 48 year old boxer in an MMA match. Jesus

If the video of the 12-second knockout wasn't proof enough that Tim Sylvia didn't expect a real challenge from Ray Mercer, Sherdog has photographic proof:
Wow. If you saw that man walking on the beach, would you expect that he is a professional athlete? Sylvia is scheduled to fight Paul Buentello at Affliction: Trilogy, at 265 lbs., assuming that he is medically cleared to fight. This means that he will have to cut 45 lbs. in a month and a half. A committed fighter wouldn't have a problem with that, but Sylvia doesn't seem like a committed fighter. For once, the weigh-ins will actually be something worth watching.
UPDATE: Affliction did not want to wait to see if Sylvia was medically cleared. They have taken him off the Affliction: Trilogy card.
WOW JESUS TAP DANCING CHRIST WOW, seriously timmeh, you look like a fat **** who has been frying cookie dough in lard, seriously ... lame dude.

When i was a young lad and complained about things being too easy and thus boring, my parents would always tell me "Prove it with excellence".

Yeah timmeh, learn from me, if someone gives you an easy fight, BEAT THE LIVING **** OUT OF THEM, only then people will take you seriously and offer good competition and thus higher paycheck.

For someone who was once a UFC heavy weight champion, used to be regarded in top 10 heavyweights and he considers himself to be one of the greatest fighters, this was absolutely pathetic.
