Toner DEFEATS Ogata - 6/1 ShootBox Champions Carnival

It took Colorado native Tyler Toner (Pro MMA 9-1 (1NC)) approximately 3 minutes to demonstrate to the rest of the world that he is an Elite World Class Fighter today.

Tyler, on short notice, took a fight against the 2006 ShootBox World Champion, Kenichi Ogata (44-14 Pro ShootBox), which occurred today, under ShootBox rules, in Tokyo, Japan. Tyler KO'ed Ogata at just under the 3 minute mark in the very first round.

Tyler is the current Ring of Fire Featherweight Belt Holder. He is trained by UFC Vet Duane Ludwig at Easton BJJ in Colorado.

Tyler's quickly becoming a force at, well, apparently whatever he decides to do. We're proud to have him on our roster and look forward to more great things from this young man. The WEC or Strikeforce would be a great fit for him.
