A more factual statement hasn't been made on Bullshido in quite some time.

I know in escrima you use double sticks. In Bersilat you either dance or fight.
|
In the FMA you use: single stick, machette, double stick, sword and knife, staff, bandana, yo-yo, spear, knife, 2 knives, empty hand striking and grappling. It does seem like I left something out.
You are stating the two forms of bersilat are dancing and fighting? That's just sad. It's called Google. Bersilat is the Malay portion of the Silat family. There are only a few hundred forms of silat. Pentjak silat being a generic term for the practice (pentjak) and fighting (silat) in the Indonesian area. Silat and kuntao being the two main branches. Bersilat and pukulan being two sub branches of silat.
KTK will correct my more glaring errors.

Matthius100 you forget "wrestling" is a generic term. There are hundreds of styles of wrestling. Its not a style in itself.
You list is not that impressive. Theres a whole lot of martial arts you neglected to list.
Hak Fu Do, Yon Kung Moon, Hop Gar, Hun Kuen, Muay Thai, Do Pai, Southern Mantis, Aikijujitsu, Fut Ga, Bak Mei, Kalarpyattu, White Crane, etc etc etc etc etc

Its more likely the guy who has the weopon is going to use it with great effect. More often than not the weopon holder has the advantage over you. Stop watching too many kung fu movies and stay away from comic books.
