whilst admitting i haven't read this whole thread, im gonna say that repeated stress that is imposed on joints and bones will result in an increase in bone density and 'deadens the nerves'- the second result is probably what you'll hear about most- the lack of sensitivity in the body can be mistook for strength. ie: that gross youtube video of that muai thai guy fucking up his leg during a fight lol

If it is true that bone density is increased in "iron palm/breaking/kicking trees" and it is true that increased bone density means a lower likelihood of breaking ones hand when punching a hard object like someone's face then it is conceivably useful when fighting without gloves on. As far as hitting harder, I don't know, but am doubtful.

i think that if you do the conditioning stuff you can definetly hit harder cos you dont feel as much pain either, and cos you're used to the impact- a tree is alot harder than a face! lol personally i wouldnt do it cos you lose sensitivity in your hands and can get severe arthritis, you wont be much good if all you can do is fighting :)
