tae kwon do can have absolutly devistating kicks. the problem is that the art has been so tainted with bullshit, that nobody will take it seriously anymore, unless you are training international/olympic levels. also, in about 4 or 5 years, i suspect we will have shitloads of TKD black belt MMA fighters. they may have been 11 when they got their BB, but you know.....
but even then, why go to tae kwon do to help your kicks when the kicks you will use the most are also utilized in other arts that have a more complete punching game and a less restrictive rule set? -
