I'm staking my claim against the tide here, and going with Evans to win.

Evans could easily win. I don't consider Machida a lock, by any means.

Machida's chin has never been tested and Rashad has power.

    Rashad by better gameplan.

Random thought- they really should have had Alexander vs Soku before he left the UFC.

So out of curiosity, what does everyone think Rashad's game plan might be?

I expect the first couple of rounds to be feeling out, boring even. Evans always seems to start slow and unless you come to him Machida basically doesn't do much. So after Machida wins one or two rather actionless rounds Evans will have to start looking for takedowns more aggresively, when that doesn't work he'll spend the last round or two looking for a homerun hit like on Liddel, it wont happen and he could very well be KTFO late in the fight.

Ok, maybe that's not his plan, but it's how it'll go.

Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man! I'll be rooting for Machida, but I like Evans, too, and it I think it is too close to call between the two of them.

I hope Serra beats the snot out of Hughes.

Evans could be the one fighter who refuses to chase Machida. If it turns into a slow-paced, 3-punch-exhanges-at-a-time affair, Rashad definitely has the edge because of his power and Machida's untested chin. Greg Jackson could actually make him do it too, which is why I'm worried. Hopefully Machida shows some competent offense if Rashad won't chase him.
