Everlast just sucks. I tried those wierd gel mma style padded gloves they sell, & they fell apart after 2 uses. Complete crap. My everlast heavy bag top zipper fucked up shortly after I got it. Now it's held together by a crapload of ductape. Thats the problem w/ everlast gear it's everywhere and it's cheap and it really sucks. I don't know if I could afford to order a decent heavybag and pay for the shipping too. I figure i'll just buy a new one every six months or so.

I'm also interested in how long they hold up. There's a seventy pound leather Everlast heavybag hanging in my dojo that I bought used in 1979 or 80. Still going strong. Every Everlast product I've purchased in the past few years however have been complete crap. It would be great if they went back to their roots but quite frankly they've done so much damage to their reputation it hardly seems to matter anymore.

The canvas itself may be okay, but the top zippers still suck! OR at least the thread that holds the zipper and bag together sucks! Nothing a few rolls of duct tape won't fix though.
Tired the same duct tape remedy on my gel bag glove thingies. It didn't work of course.
On a positive Everlast note. I have the same leather everlast shiity ol' elastic-wirst-band bag gloves I got 4 years ago and they're holding up fine. -

I don't think this is too off topic. Anyone know of any bag gloves that give that empty hand feel? Thats why I bought the everlast gel bag gloves, the guy at the store recommended them when I was looking for real bag gloves-that was all they carried. The gel-bag gloves suck terribly for any one who isn't punching silk pillows. Seriously they were f*ed up after one use and only got worse. I wish I had saved my reciept.
