No kidding. Too bad the self-knocking guy couldn't take it graciously and has to go "you didn't beat me." Even if he hadn't knocked himself out, he was in a bad spot before he even attempted a take down. I might be wrong, but his biggest mistake wasn't that he knocked himself out, but that he went for the take down like that, with the other dude having a firm standing kimura on him.

    Oh well.

Question: Not to derail, but for those who actually know and do this, would you have gone for the take down like that, with the other guy having a standing kimura on you?

It sure looks like a good and sure way to get chicken winged.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

WTF are you on about? No brits fought. As was said earlier... Browning is a 100% pure backwoods kentucky redneck.

I was actually pulling for that guy. The whole time I was like "don't go for the takedown, don't go for the takedown, don't go for the taked-...****."

So yes, it was a terrible idea. Even if he didn't force-feed the canvas to himself, he would have been cranked.

    QFT...

It looked an awful lot to me like the arm came loose as the take down happened. So, he had a really damn good chance of being tapped anyway.

Hell no I wouldn't have gone for that! I probably would have slid around to his back and dragged him down backwards. Or, considering the guy that got tapped had a bunch of wrestling experience he could have worked around and gone for a suplex. Land that and it'll break the lock on the arm!

it was locked in solid, and i don't think mr. self-destruct's hands were actually clamped, which caused him to **** up the takedown pretty bad. i think you need to be holding your hands together to do that lift. his arm was loose on the way down, and the other guy even managed to pull guard a long time before they hit the ground.

the fact that he landed face first tell me something went horribly wrong IMHO.

in my opinion, definitely a legit "W".

Enjoyed this TUF episode. Loved it when Browning got punked after all of the crap he stirred up. Thought the two guys in match #2 should have just taken the ref's call and be done with it. BTW, the vast majority of us in Kentucky are embarrassed by the Brownings and hate the way they represent the state. We are not all like those guys!
