I'm amazed at the number of opportunities the instructor had to derail this stupidity. If he had a spine, or an ounce of martial artist-ness, he could've told you to **** off, acknowledged that your technique worked, or any number of other successful techniques to avoid the idiocy that you describe. Instead he has the ignorance-based hubris to try his technique against yours. Always a good idea with a new, previously-trained guy off the street while in front of class!
