Bak Mei / White Eyebrow
Some background history, but is it the truth? Who knows?
Quote:
The destruction of the monastery ended the teaching and they had to fled for their lives. They continued the further development of their new styles on Omei Shan. This would be the result:
Buddhist nun Ng Mui : Mui Fa Kuen (plum blossom fist)
Buddhist Abbot Jee Shin Shim Shee : Kept the traditional Siu Lin Pai
Taoist priest Pak Mei : Pak Mei Pai (white eyebrow style)
Taoist priest Fung Dao Duk : Pak Fu Pai (white tiger style)
Unshave student Mew Hin : Ng Ying Kung Kuen ( 5 animal style) and 18 Taoist palms
The unavoidable happened, they were all so very content with their new fighting styles that they started to test and to challenge each other. After many tests and fights they came to the conclusion that Pak Mei and Fung Dao Duck were the best. These two would fight each other to find out once and for all who was the better of the two. On the last moment the decided not to go through with it and so it stays unclear whom of the two was the best or which style was better. Pak Mei Pai and Pak Fu Pai look quite similar and are confused quite often.
The five elders had not forgotten about their most important objective, despite all their hard training they had to fight the Qing rulers. To get to know more about their enemy they decided that one of them had to infiltrate the Qing court. They decided that Pak Mei had to take on this dangerous task. During Pack Mei's infiltration the others would travel through China to teach as much as possible and to start rebellions and secret societies. Pack Mei would contact them through a secret network that the others would establish in the meantime. These secret societies against the Qing were called the Anti Qing Triads and have been established by the five elders, like the well know Hung Mon. This Hung Mon (one of the most important) is seen as one of the front-runners of the numerous modern triads. During the establishment of this triad they had the yell FAN QING FUK MING (over through the Qing, restore the Ming).
After a while the infiltrated Pak Mei realized that his attempt was not very useful but that it was very dangerous. And also the battle of his brothers would not be strong enough to over through the Qing. To save his life and to escape a terrible death Pak Mei retreated from his espionage work and started to teach kungfu. Later Fung Dao Duk would take over Pak Mei's task and infiltrate the Qing court. Because Pak Mei had gained a reputation to be a very good and dangerous fighter there were some who wanted to take his classes, despite the fact that it was seen as treason because Pack Mei had turned his back on the rebellion. Pak Mei was called "the forbidden style" in those days.
A lot of people in the resistance, including old comrades, felt hate against their brother that had left their cause. Pak Mei was declared outlawed and they were looking for him to kill him. Pak Mei had to fight for his life a number of times to stay alive. Almost all were killed in their fights with Pack Mei. Because of this the hate grew even stronger and the fear for him and his powerful fighting style too. Amongst the people that were killed in the fights with Pack Mei were: Jee Shin Shim Shee (the Siu Lin expert) and Fong Chai Yuk. Fong Chai Yuk was the son of the temple mate Mew Hin "the unshaven student" and Mao Tsui Fa. Mao Tsui Fa was also an expert in kungfu and he had learned that from Ng Mui at Siu Lin temple. After Fong Chai Yuk mother taught him kungfu she left for her own classes with Ng Mui. In the time that Fong Chai Yuk was left alone he would secretly sneak in to the big barrel of Tit Da Jow medicine of his mother. Despite his mother strictly forbidding him to do this he did this numerous times. He would sneak in to the barrel and sit on a piece of wood. He claimed that though these numerous baths his body was invincible. Pak Mei noticed this too when he was fighting him. The boy's kungfu wasn't great but Pak Mei's strikes could not harm him. Pak Mei knew the boy from when he was small and he knew the boy had sat in the medicine. The only place where the medicine had not worked was on the lower side of his spine where he had sit on. Pak Mei hit him there with fatal result.
Pak Mei only taught the complete system to a few people. All the second generation practitioners were monks, just like Pak Mei. One of them was the Taoist monk Kong Wei.

A Brief History of Pak Mei.
White Eyebrow Kung Fu, known as Pak Mei (Cantonese) or Bai Mai (Mandarin) stems from Taoist martial arts traditions tracing back into Chinese history, probably starting at mount Ngor Mei (E-Mei) near the end of the Ming Dynasty. There are many legends and stories surrounding the art, as many false as true. What is known is that the style started between 1650 and 1700 with the life of a Taoist monk known for his long white eyebrows and has been passed down unbroken from teacher to student, often father to son until today.
The Style was formally brought to the secular world by Great Grand Master Cheung Lai Chuen (1880 -1964) who lived in Guangzhou. In 1949 following WWII, he moved from Guangzhou to Hong Kong. His cousin and training partner was Lam Yeu Gwai, the Grand Master of Loong Ying (Dragon) kung fu.
Earlier in his life he learned many different martial arts and fought many challenges. After meeting a monk who demonstrated a remarkable kung fu, he was overwhelmed. He pleaded to learn, and thereafter spent several years in the Kwong How Monastery in Canton studying meditation, divination, healing and Pak Mei.
He learned Pak Mei from the monk Chuk Fat Wan, who learned from the Abbot Kong Wei, who learned from the namesake Pak Mei. He was the first "outsider' to learn the art. While rare outside China, the study still flourishes in the city of Guangzhou, in the southern province of Canton, and in Honk Kong.
Possibly due to its localised nature and absence for the most part in the "Western" world, the style has become known as a "secret" and "forbidden" style. Pak Mei, the monk himself, has become a Chinese folk legend for his fighting skill and deeds. He is a controversial figure in Chinese history, often considered an evil character for his brutality and betrayal of the Shaolin Monastery. He is a pivitol character in the story of the 5 Elders/Masters, which details the genesis of modern Kung Fu.
Some of this legend can be attributed back to the political conflicts leading to the end of the Ming Dynasty, the coming of the Manchurians and the destruction of the legendary Southern Shaolin Temple.
Additionally, in keeping with it's namesakes reputation, it is a lethal style, not modified for sporting applications. The Grand Master, Cheung Lai Cheun was known throughout Canton for his exceptional fighting skills, proven in combat.
Pak Mei offers different things to different people, and the lessons are learned over time. It is a rare internal and external style from Taoist traditions. Advanced techniques are only taught to advanced students. It is a style with deep traditional roots and respect for its heritage.

I think its the only style, or at least the first, to combine Budhhist and Taoist MA principles.

White Eyebrow kung fu
White eyebrow (pak mei in Cantonese) is a forbidden kung fu system that has the ch'i of the lower dragons and the economy of motion found in all high systems. A distinguishing characteristic is that 1 open hand is near the elbow.
The three open hand kung fu sets are as follows.
6 Step Push
9 Step Push
12 Step Push
There is also a saber form.
A Shaolin monk named White Eyebrow killed 4 brother monks to test the effectiveness of his new art. Consequently, his style was forbidden to be taught in the temple and he was sent into exile with the founder of white tiger.

Pak Mei
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
White Eyebrow
Pak mei or white eyebrow kung fu was created by the Taoist monk pak mei, during the Ching dynasty in China. Pak mei kung fu was passed on to Gwong Wei, the only heir to the system, who named the style pak mei kung fu out of respect for his teacher. The style was then passed to Jok Fat Wan who traveled with his disciple Lin Sang from northern China to southern China, eventually ending up at the Gwong How temple in Canton where grand master Cheung Lai Chun learned. Grand master Cheung Lai Chun was undefeated throughout his martial art career. He was one of the famed 3 tigers of the east river region and earned the title of the 7 southern states champion . Master Kwong Man Fong who is a fifth generation inheritor of pak mei was the last and the youngest student to train extensively and learn the complete system in its entirety. Pak mei kung fu is one of the few system the combines both Shaolin and Taoist practices into a single fighting style. It is classified as an internal and external system that emphasizes the combination of the science of combat along with the Taoist principles of using the chi to maximize the generation of power from within the body and to maintain health. In pak mei chi kung is incorporated into every aspect of the art, not just supplemental exercises to develop the chi. Pak mei is a highly sophisticated, fast and aggressive system that is rarely seen within the realm of Chinese martial arts today. Pak mei techniques are executed between short and mid range distances; hand movements are fast and powerful. Pak mei kung fu also contains a wide assortment of kicks.

Was it two years ago?
In the super bowl they were interviewing guys in the locker room, and one said (I think):
"We just got to stick to our game plan. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon."
Some stuff I just found.

There is another version of the Bak Mei "forbidden style"story. That the Bak Mei style gained a bad reputation because some bak mei studnets used thier style to kill other kung fu stylist.
Now everything (styles) after Cheung Lai Chuen is disputed. There a few schools saying they have the real version of it and the others are incomplete etc. Cheung Ali Chun was a drug addict. In another version Bak Mei ws killed by Fung Doe Duk.
etc etc
As for Mew Hing being "unshaven" its not because he was unshaven it wsa because he let his hair grow long.
