let's tenatively schedule for 7pm on thursday. i just have to check on the availability of the multipurpose room. they don't really check for student ID so that should be ok.
kuroyama, gojuJKDdude, does that work for you guys? ciimax, you coming?
i have a friend with a digital camcorder who'll document our shennanigans.
if you're coming, please confirm and also please post your height/weight, style(s), years of experience, and sparring preferences.
me: 5'6'', 165 lbs, 1.5 years of xing yi, 3 years of kendo.
sparring preferences: light contact to head, medium to body/legs. wrestling with striking or wrestling and striking separately are both ok. very little groundwork, but willing to roll and learn. would like to engage in push hands if there's any interest. -

Push hands sounds great to me. The tentative date wont work though. Heres how we look so far: Monday arrival, Tues-Fri Im at the tradeshow in Jacob Javits until 5pm at least. Figure a "quick" getaway gets me clear of work and coworkers out at about 7pm. If I make a 7ish train that puts me at your site at 9p?
The weekdays dont look good that way.
I may be staying through the weekend though. I have a job on the east coast after the show. It might make more sense to stay there and hop than it would to bounce from coast to coast just to come home for almost 48hrs... In any case, my schedule for that week is still taking shape as this weeks lab work progresses. We will see.
Me: 6'3", 265 lbs, (Should make me easy to find on that website eh?) 1mo aikido, 6mos choi li fut, 4mos TJQ. I used to spar very little with my old roomate/CLF instructor, but I dont have much experience.
Jen, if the group decides on a weekday, dont let my sched bust it up. You guys have fun. I'm also not saying "wait for the weekend" though at this point Sat looks the most promising if they dont send me home Sat morn.
Lab work scheduled to finish this week will be the really big factor. So far I seem to days ahead of schedule. I'm not saying I am ahead because if I do that'll jinx the project and I wont even make N.Y. this year...
So I'm leaving it at: it looks good.
If any linux heads here will make the show, stop by and say "hi". Just look for the giant Black guy with the shiny bald head. I dont usually blend in very well.Last edited by Kuroyama; 1/15/2004 1:11am at .
