I saw the smashing Machine in an event called cage rage in the uk in 2007, it was sad he was beaten easily by Mustapha Al Turk, who went on to fight in the ufc vs Cheick Kongo.
Al Turk was a European ADCC Heavyweight Champ so was not an easy fight. Kerr looked old his movement looked like he was not in best condition, a sad shadow of his former self. i hope that gives you some idea.

Rupture Clothing: American Made MMA Gear and Apparel Style: Judo and BJJ--
My partner Fadi trained with Sam at Revolution Dojo in Houston. I was still living in Houston when Sam passed away. The MMA community was in shock - I believe Sam was the 3rd MMA fatality. The Renegades promotion actually shut down for a while due to this, I believe.
I never knew Sam personally - I trained at a different camp at the time - but I heard he was a great guy in and out of the gym. May he RIP.

I found Evan Tanner's death to be the most disturbing out of all of them. Having spent some time in the desert, I can honestly say that I do not think that's a good way to go.
