you know, i just rewatched the santino fetal position fight. why the hell did that not get stopped. he wasn't fighting back. he wasn't really defending himself. he was just taking punches until the round ended. while his second round was amazing, i'm just suprised he didn't get a TKO called on him in the first.

well, he was blocking his face and communicating. Compare and contrast to the guy who got his cheekbones sanded off.
Re the guy with the huge dripping sore on his forehead, I can't feel sorry for that. He had to have some inkling that might not have been normal. Also not much love for the guys that still show up heavy - I'm with dana on the "come on it's season nine"
There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice.

don't get me wrong. i don't feel sorry for the guy because he has herpes. it's just a shitty way to find out. you know, national tv and all.
and yeah, the dude that didn't make weight... he didn't find out the day before that he was gonna be on tuf 9. he couldn't have been on weight days in advance?

As far as making the weight goes, there may be some things we don't know. For instance what if there was no sauna where he was, travel arrangements backfired, etc. There are a ton of things that can go wrong when you are cutting weight, anyone who has ever had to cut will tell you, especially if they have a rhythm that works for them, i.e. when to cut back water, what foods to eat, how much sauna and running, etc. That said, I hope that guy can bounce back as he has a pretty solid reputation in smaller shows.

well another thing with tuf is it seems like people want to be on it so bad they shoehorn into the wrong weight class.
