Anybody mentioned these straight to video masterpieces yet?

Pit Fighter: A cast of unknowns. The exception being Steven Bauer (Manolo from Scarface)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0396096/

In Hell: Jean Claude Van Dame (The Muscles from Brussels baby!)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0339135/

Both movies, while being kind of crappy, have "entertaining" fight choreography. Enough to make them worth watching. Also focus on "MMA" style striking and grappling. Especially "in hell", which I would argue has the most realistic fight scenes of the two, and more closely resembles actual MMA fights. Pit fighter on the other hand, is pretty much one of those guilty pleasure movies.

Also, I suggest Donnie Yen's "prequel" to Flash Point, SPL (Sha Po Long) or "Killzone" to Americans. There's only two real fight scenes (both incredible, and only the last one MMA style), but it's a brilliant movie anyway.

Another Hong Kong MMA movie is "Fatal Contact" (I think the Chinese title translates to "Black Fist" or "Underground Fist"). Stars Wu Jing (aka Jacky Wu) as a, you guessed it, nice kid who knows how to fight getting involved in underground pit-fighting. Terrible story, great fight scenes.

I've seen quite a few of these movies, does anyone have requests for my next review? Some that I'm thinking about: Fighting (Channing Tatum), Ip Man (Donnie Yen), SPL (Yen again), Born to Fight (80s version, Panna Rittikrai), The Art of Fighting (Baek Yoon Sik, Jae Hee).
