    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Real life active camo?

Curious as to what our military folks have to say about this:

    LiveLeak.com - Abrams vs IED

Ignore the title of the video, the interesting point starts around 2:58 in (and is noted in the video with the red circle).

I have done some research and have my own ideas as an idiot on the subject looking in.

Are you joking? That is just terrible resolution/compression in combination with khaki desert camo in front of plywood.

http://science.howstuffworks.com/invisibility-cloak.htm <--- they are working on active camo. There has been some good progress. If the military is 3-5 years ahead of the civilian sector on this then it's theoretically possible that could have been active camo in use. It's INCREDIBLY UNLIKELY, but the technology is out there and it's simply a matter of refining it at this point.

Um, is "yes" the correct answer to the question?

Just found the video on another forum and people were spouting off ideas about it, brought it over here to see what was up (I did mention that I was "an idiot on the subject").

That video is almost certainly not it, but the technology is close for that sort of thing to indeed exist and be put into use. And if the idea scares the **** out of the bad guys then...

I just got very excited about a Rorschach/Predator hybrid.

nah, man. pause it when hes in front of something dark like when he gets to the edge of the wall or when hes in front of the truck. it looks like you can see "through" him. the dark in the background wouldnt translate to dark on him.

no clue. maybe it was t3h sh0pp3d and made for lulz

hmm, maybe i was wrong. the red fucking circle threw me off =\
