I have searched for a website for this school...no luck. I have found www.jongpark.com but, I can't verify it is the same person or organization. All my searching only finds business listings for this school.
I checked the databases of the AASF (FIAS), US Combat Sambo Association (Galperin's group), and USA Storm. No membership those either. Obviously, they are not ASA.
So, does anyone know of this school and the sambo credentials? Anyone train there?
See my tongue. SEE IT!

Quick search yielded a link to this MySpace page:
Which is the Jong Park demo team account. THe photos show people vaulting over a stack of mats. No SAMBO in there; wouldn't expect it in the demo team. No mention of SAMBO anywhere on that page (blog posts, descriptions, etc)
A person who trains/teaches there:
His name is Dustin Prescott. He lists in his "Companies" section:Jong ParkNorth Tonawanda, NY USTKD, SAMBO Instructor
So he appears to be claiming to be a SAMBO instructor there.
In his "About Me," he writes:"Next my day job, is TKD i teach ITF style through the worlds best, Jong Park. look them up to if your interested. I am certified with the ITF and The USCSF."A look at this facebook discussion:
shows that "Master Thiele" heads up the school. His full name is David Thiele.
Maybe that gives you some more names to chew through.
My google-fu has run out. Fingers tired.

Thanks. Regarding Dustin Prescott, I don't know the USCSF. I am assuming that it stands for US Combat Sambo Federation. I have not heard of them. The closest is Galperin's USCSA. I will check with them anyway...

I sent this e-mail to Master Galperin:
Dear Mr. Galperin,
I am trying to look into the credentials of a man claiming to be a combat sambo instructor certified by the USCSF. I know you are the USCSA, but yours is the closest organization (in name) I can find.
His name is Dustin Prescott teaching out of Jong Park TKD & US Combat Sambo. Tonawanda, NY.
Have you ever heard of this gentleman?
Thanks in advance,

David Thiele's a nice enough guy. I used to be associated with the USCSF. I designed their first 2 syllabus. After awhile though I felt that they were giving ranks away.
Long story short I felt I needed to part ways because my ideals were different. What kind of details do you need?

The USCSF is no longer in existence..correct? Can you give a background on that org? What is David Thiele's sambo background? His teachers? Is he still promoting with the old USCSF criteria...to your knowledge? And what is/was the criteria?

As far as I know it is still in existence. USCSF was founded by Vincent Ornelas. The core group was founded 1 year before I arrived in 1992. I believe they were originally a part of the American Combat SAMBO Association or something along that extent. I was still in college so I wasn't paying much attention. We had one actual Sport SAMBO coach, Alexis, a Judo Coach Alex McCormick, A Wrestling Coach -Tim, Hapkido practitioner Bruce, Vince and myself.
I joined early 1993. I was doing Kickboxing and started to get into shootfighting. I already had a Judo background so I was able to fit in quickly.
Vince was very possessive and started to get irritated when he found some of us cross training with the Judo club and some BJJ guys.
I left the group back in 2003. Vince and I didn't see eye to eye on these things. I wanted to be competitive with other grappling groups. Vince said that it was too sport orientated. David brought one of his senior guys to get certified under the system. I tested the kid. I didn't feel that he was ready. Vince decided we would certify him anyway.

I thought that was Vince's old group. I could not find much regarding USCSF on line. I have heard nothing about Ornelas in so long, I figured it had to be defunct.
