Don't lift more/run farther/faster. I'd imagine a big part of maintaining weight is maintaining your exercise levels, neither increasing nor decreasing.
Lord Krishna said: I am terrible time the destroyer of all beings in all worlds, engaged to destroy all beings in this world; Of those heroic soldiers presently situated in the opposing army, even without you none will be spared.

Lifting weight will burn calories just like running will. Its not about whether you should lift or run, but how much you're eating. In fact, if you want to lose weight to fight at a lighter weight, you should make sure you still lift so that you don't lose any strength.
It's impossible to gain weight while lifting if your burning more calories than you eat. Just simple math. -
