    Need advice for maintaining weight

I have to put my weight loss temporarily on hold for a month in order to fight as a middleweight boxer. Other than monitoring my weight every day, if there anything I can do to maintain my weight where it is until May the 9th? I want to still be able to eat a healthy diet and pick back up with my weight loss after my fight.

Ultimately, I want to get down to 135 to be at my healthy weight for the first time since I was younger.

Make the calories you use each day = the calories you consume each day. There are calculators online to help you estimate figures for both.

Don't lift more/run farther/faster. I'd imagine a big part of maintaining weight is maintaining your exercise levels, neither increasing nor decreasing.

First of all, 135??? How tall are you and m/f???

Next, you can have a healthy diet while gaining, mainaining, or losing weight. It's just a matter of eating more, the same, or less of your healthy diet's food.

Lifting weight will burn calories just like running will. Its not about whether you should lift or run, but how much you're eating. In fact, if you want to lose weight to fight at a lighter weight, you should make sure you still lift so that you don't lose any strength.

It's impossible to gain weight while lifting if your burning more calories than you eat. Just simple math.

If you want to maintain your weight, just hop on the scale every morning and see where your at. Adjust meals and workouts to that.

    I am 5'3 and female. I go by my height chart + body type. I'm big-boned. 135 - 140 is ideal.
