I've done it before. As you might guess, it's extremely hard on your legs. If you must run on a day that you do a leg workout I would do it after and just treat it as a recovery run. Don't try to break any records. Just take it easy. NO HILLS! If you do it on a regular basis you just asking for an over use injury (tendonitis). I should know, I have tendonitis in my knee right now. Takes a while to heal.

I get calf, inner thigh and hamstring cramps sometimes and not a whole lot seems to help it.
Any ideas? I've thought I should just do some leg curls.....Katana, on 540 kicks: "Hang from a ceiling fan with both hands. Flail your feet out and ask people to walk into you as you hit their face." -

What are your goals?
Are you on gear?
How long are you running?
A 15-30 minute jog/aerobic activity to get the blood moving before working legs is fine.
Much longer than that you will sap the glycogens in your blood stream leaving you with less energy to perform the harder weightlifting exercises with. I recommend a good fast paced warmup before working legs to get the blood temperature up, and to stimulate flood flow to the legs. Postworkout you should do another "warm-down" to ensure blood flow still heads to the legs and to facilitate the removal of built-up lactic acid. Then eat protein! And quickly take in simple carbs to replenish blood sugar levels.

Do you want a routine for your legs?
There has been discussion on muscle cramps already. I can dig them up....Surfing Facebook at work? Spread the good word by adding us on Facebook today! https://www.facebook.com/Bullshido -

Yeah a quick jog to warm up and get the blood flowing before you hit the gym to do weights is fine. But as a rule I do my running a different days to weights. If I'm in the gym doing weights I do that, warm then do weights. I do my running on differnt days.
