Fighter database-anyone know one?

Have you contacted the local mma gyms in the area?

You could also make a post on Sherdog.net - there seems to be a few guys on there with the 'amatuer fighter' tag next to thier name. There is even a forum just for the fighters.

yes, unfortuantly I have the full participation of the gyms who really have fighters, most however have guys who buy tap-out shirts & that makes them tough I suppose.

What is interesting is that we use unified am mma rules - no striking to the head on the ground, many gyms say thier guys

"won't fight without ground n pound"

Yet they buy tickets to watch the fights! It cracks me up!

anyhow we don't have a great many gyms up here to begin with!

& I have most of the fighters who are begginners on the card already!
guys with 6 or more fights don't qualify & go on to bigger shows than we can field!

I did however post on mma jacked, no response yet.

on a side note I could use some small Muay-th. gyms either in nyc syracuse,albany,vt or ct if anyone knows of any!

Not sure if this is quite what you're looking for, but MMA Universe has a database which includes amateur fighters (e.g., one of the guys from where I train at RGA). Mainly UK though, AFAIK.

We really should have our own database, we could probably do it better anyway.

How about one of bullshido schools and fake fighters too? We got a lot of information here which is unfortunately almost impossible to access (simply too much all over the place)

Yeah, that's what Bullshido.org is for, but it's under repair at the moment. You guys can add/edit articles just like Wikipedia.

if we did I would pay to use it, next time I'm at the library I will become a sight supporter, I had to straighten up my pay pal, it got hacked! but it's good now!

but I think a Bullshido database is a great idea, there seems to be more real fighters here anyway!

If I can help in any manner I would gladly share what I have!
