    Those were quite good, thank you for posting them. Tangent to the spirit of the original argument -- in my limited experience alot of players use alot of resistant force when doing the applications and very often feel like alot of junior (under 10 years of training) Aikido/DJJ/Judo players I've encountered in that it's all strength and technical bits with no listening skill/aiki. So I can understand an assocation wanting to enforce rules to limit that and attempt to guide people where they should be going. However I think people just naturally move beyond it if they have a good teacher; and ,in my opinion, limiting their experience of trying active resistance will impede progress and not further it. Of course, if you have no one good enough to show you that using force and resisting things doesn't work very well then you need a teacher with more skill.

    ...by junior I mean someone with less training than I have. It just so happens to be about 10 years. :)

    I definitely agree, we need more teachers with skill.
