Thread: building a wooden dummy
1/28/2004 10:38am, #21
No progress, I'm still waiting for the arms to be completed. They should be done this weekend.
I intend to mount my dummy in my garage where I have exposed studs. If I get the arms this weekend I'll drill the rest of the holes and then I'll probably mount it next weekend. I'll post some pictures when I'm done. I've also been busy drawing up the construction plans for the dummy. I'll post those too when I'm done.

I just talked with the wood worker. He's making the arms right now. I'll be picking them up this weekend and finishing my wooden dummy.

I finally picked up the arms today from the woodworker. I came home and only had enough time to drill and chisel out one hole. So I have the straight middle arm in place. I'll try to take care of the other two this week.

The other two arms are in place. Chiseling the 3rd arm where the two top arms overlap was ticky but it came out pretty good. I'm totally stoked. the dummy came out great. I'll be mounting it this weekend. Ill take pictures and post them this weekend.

My dummy is better than yours.
Mine has spring loaded arms and four wheel drive, not to mention extra padding and air bags.
