Convince Me That Silat Doesn't Suck Completely

They both looked pretty new to the game but the Silat guy had some good kicks. His angles were pretty good, he didn't back strait up. The other guy had a good chin and took some decent shots for a while.

Silat guy in the first vid had some decent standup. I think he'd have to be Anderson Silva good to pull off the crazy low hands against a half way decent fighter, but can't deny he did a good job.

I would be pretty curious to compare the amount of time spent training between the two fighters.

It seemed like the white guy had almost zero training, but even still, the Silat guy got in the cage and knocked his opponent out while still managing to more or less look like a Silat guy.

Definitely still not sold on the style but I'm not gonna bash the fighter.

Yeah, when he put the Silat guy in a head lock and held on for dear life, it said a lot.

I gave up on the first video after the white guy threw out a front hand backfist and playground headlock.

I've thrown even more ill-timed kani basami than that, so I'm not going to judge.

I accidentally broke my unkle's ankle doing a kani basami. That was years ago and he still gives me **** about it!
