Do you?
Better yet do you want to argue with a linguist?

Sigh, your reading comprehension sucks.
He didn't defend himself against a BJJ practitioner, or not at least one that has even attained there first belt (blue).
Defending himself against someone who doesn't know how to do the technique they are trying to do isn't proof of it working against that technique.
Also HE DIDN"T knock down the opponent, this is why someone who doesn't know how to shoot for the legs should NOT do it. He didn't do ANY defending the other guy laid down face first and got punched for it.
Its not a bad representation of BJJ its someone pretending to do BJJ that has seen a few fights.
Here is the difference I can show 1000s of hours of people doing good BJJ against all sorts of fighters that are at the top level of there respect systems, and the BJJ works. You have yet to show ANYTHING even remotely working against a competent opponent. -

Two Observations:
1) I love when TMA guys fight, and then end up resorting to basic jiujitsu techniques they learned on youtube.
2) When I watch Silat guys give demos, they tend to primarily show off their l33tz0r trapping, slapping, crouching, and Indonesian Qin Na skill.
When I watch Silat guys actually fight, they do almost *none* of that, and fall back on TKD style kicks and San Da-style kick-catches. As we've observed from the Silat competitions posted earlier in this thread, a Silat match consists of little else than kicking and takedowns off of kick-catches. They also seem to avoid the sunken postures of "Demo Silat" when actually in the thick of things.The fool thinks himself immortal,
If he hold back from battle;
But old age will grant him no truce,
Even if spears spare him. -
