    I don't.

    When I was training Karate it was 80% sparring & 20% line work and Kata.
    If more schools did it this way CMA and Tai chi wouldn't be a joke.

    Hello IIF - do you still practice forms then? The original post was from 3 years ago, do you still find a place for them in your training?

    Yep, Finding a place is fine. 80% is entirely too much time spent on forms.

    How dare you. Practicing forms has made me into a deadly weapon. Over the next few years I intend liberate myself entirely from the straitjacket of sparring / human contact. But I won't be able to show you how good this makes me, as fighting will be beneath a man of my abilities.
